Why a regular sewing machine won't work
Household and tailor machines are built for cloth. Drop them on a piece of commercial vinyl and they skip stitches, jam the feed dogs, and stall out on the first thick seam. They physically can't push multiple layers of coated vinyl through — the fabric slips, the needle deflects, and the motor burns.
